Late Former Kogi Governor Ibrahim Idris’ Family Pledges Support for State Burial Plans
The family of late former Kogi State Governor Ibrahim Idris has pledged to work with the state government on arrangements for his burial. The family head, Haruna Idris, thanked the government for its support and for taking responsibility for the burial. He gave the assurance while receiving the state burial committee led by Deputy Governor Joel Salifu Oyibo. Oyibo described the former governor’s death as a major loss to Kogi State and said the government would ensure a dignified state burial. The committee and family representatives later held a closed-door meeting to discuss the arrangements.
