Olubadan Commends FG Skills Training for 200 Oyo Youths, 700 Others to Receive Tablets
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has praised the Federal Government’s vocational training and empowerment programme as a practical way to reduce youth unemployment and poverty. The 10-day programme, held under the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy, trained 200 young people in Oyo State in graphics design and artificial intelligence, makeup artistry, and fashion design. Participants are expected to receive work tools to help them start earning independently. The programme’s grand finale is scheduled to hold on Friday in Ibadan. An additional 700 beneficiaries are also expected to receive tablets to support their digital skills and economic opportunities.
