CDS Oluyede Rejects Terrorist Amnesty, Urges Decisive Military Action
General Olufemi Oluyede spoke at the inaugural lecture of the Joint Doctrine and Welfare Centre in Abuja. He said no gesture of goodwill will end terrorism in Nigeria. Oluyede argued that only decisive military force can produce lasting results. He warned that terrorists never surrender out of remorse. He added that armed groups lay down their weapons only when they face certain defeat. He said peace initiatives are often exploited by these groups. Good. Now back up the talk with action. The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist. Operation Safe Corridor was a scheme by former President Buhari to recycle these killers.
