CAN Leader Killed in Suspected Ambush in Plateau’s Mangu LGA
Markus Musa, a Christian leader, was reportedly killed in an ambush in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday, September 14. Musa was said to be travelling by motorcycle with his younger brother, Arum Musa, to a Christian Association of Nigeria meeting when gunmen attacked them between Rimi and Kaduno communities. Arum Musa reportedly escaped unharmed. The incident comes amid renewed tensions and reprisal attacks linked to farming and herding communities in the area. Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have launched patrols and a manhunt for the attackers.
