Yoruba Ronu Calls for Transparency Over US Records Linked to Tinubu
The Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum has called for greater transparency over records connected to a past United States investigation involving President Bola Tinubu. The group’s president, Chief Akin Malaolu, said the ongoing legal dispute over the records had renewed public interest in the matter. He noted that being investigated does not amount to a conviction or proof of wrongdoing. Malaolu urged President Tinubu to support the fullest lawful disclosure of relevant information. He also called on prominent elder statesmen and national figures to speak up, arguing that Nigerians deserve credible answers and accountability. He said any disclosure must follow the law and maintained that, if credible evidence raises serious constitutional questions, the appropriate legal and political processes should be allowed to take their course.
