Police Recover ₦2.26m Worth of Stolen Roofing Sheets, Arrest Suspect in Bauchi
Police in Bauchi State have arrested a 35-year-old suspect after recovering 460 metres of Stonecut roofing sheets allegedly stolen from a shop in Azare, Katagum LGA. The materials, valued at ₦2.26 million, were reportedly taken from a Kano Road shop after thieves allegedly gained entry with a master key. Detectives from the Azare Division traced and intercepted the sheets along the Azare–Jama'are Road following intelligence reports. Police said the suspect allegedly confessed and named another person as an accomplice. The second suspect is still at large, while the case is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
