Bandits Kill Niger District Head After Warning Them to Stay Away From His Community
Bandits have killed the District Head of Gallah in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf. He was the Magajin Garin Gallah under the Borgu Emirate. Reports said the gunmen stormed his palace over the weekend in an apparent retaliation after he warned them to stop entering his community. Details of the attack, including the exact time and whether there were other casualties, were not immediately available. The Borgu Emirate and the Borgu Local Government Council confirmed his death. The emirate also mourned Alhaji Garba Alhassan, Tafidan Borgu, describing both men as a major loss to the traditional institution and the people of Borgu.
