Makinde Says His Team Was Warned About Campaigning in the South-East
Seyi Makinde said his team was cautioned against campaigning in the South-East because of Peter Obi’s strong support in the region. Speaking at an APM town hall meeting in Enugu ahead of the 2027 election, Makinde said the warnings would not stop his party from presenting its agenda across the zone. He urged Nigerians to reject political messages built around ethnic and tribal divisions. Peter Obi received overwhelming support across the South-East during the 2023 presidential election.
