Two Pilots Eject Safely as RAF Training Jet Crashes in Anglesey

An RAF Hawk T2 training jet crashed near RAF Valley in Anglesey, north Wales, shortly after take-off. The two pilots ejected from the aircraft and were treated for minor injuries. Witnesses said the aircraft appeared to be on fire as it climbed before it pitched sharply and the pilots ejected. The jet then crashed near Pencarnisiog, producing a large fireball and thick black smoke. Emergency services brought the fire under control and asked residents to avoid the area. The RAF has opened an investigation, while rail services in the area were disrupted.
