1 / 6

Security forces from Operation Enduring Peace launched an early morning raid on suspected bandit camps in Pandam Forest, Qua’an Pan LGA, Plateau State. During the operation, troops engaged fleeing gunmen, creating an opening for three captives to break free and reach safety. As troops continued to comb the forest later in the day, five more victims emerged from the bush and were recovered unharmed. Residents of nearby communities have praised the swift action and expressed relief at the safe return of all eight kidnapped individuals. No security personnel were killed or injured during the operation. Efforts are now focused on tracking down the fleeing bandits and dismantling their remaining hideouts in the forest.
