LSSTF Donates Protective Gear to Lagos Maritime Police, Pledges Patrol Vehicle
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has donated 30 ballistic helmets, 30 bulletproof vests, 30 pairs of operational boots and 30 raincoats to the Maritime Police Command in Lagos. The fund's Executive Secretary, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, said a patrol pickup vehicle would also be delivered within one month. He said the support is intended to strengthen security on Lagos waterways, which are vital for transport, commerce and coastal communities. The Maritime Police Command said it would deploy the equipment professionally as it prepares for increased security demands during the ember months and ahead of the 2027 general elections. The command also said it would continue working with other agencies to protect waterways, ports and terminals.
