Actress and Abia AAC Candidate Doris Ogala Remanded in Ikoyi Over Cyberbullying Case
Nollywood actress and African Action Congress governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility pending a bail hearing. The case follows a dispute with her former partner, Pastor Chris Okafor, who accused her of cyberbullying, harassment, extortion and spreading false information. The dispute reportedly began after Ogala criticised him online following his announcement that he would marry another woman. Ogala said her detention was politically motivated and alleged that it was intended to frustrate her 2027 governorship ambition. A comedian who shared the update said the matter was disclosed on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
