Trump Orders Complete Trade Embargo on Spain over ICC Case
US President Donald Trump has announced a total trade and investment embargo against Spain. He linked the move to Madrid’s decision to pursue an International Criminal Court case against Israeli leaders. Trump criticised Spain’s role as a NATO partner. He also cited Spain’s refusal to grant US military aircraft access to its airspace and bases for strikes on Iran. Spain responded that no executive order would force it to drop the ICC case or compromise its sovereignty.
