Asake Stages Exclusive Drury Lane Concert for Chart-Topping 'MONEY' Album

Asake Stages Exclusive Drury Lane Concert for Chart-Topping 'MONEY' Album

Asake brought his chart-topping album 'MONEY' to the historic Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. The invite-only show was held in partnership with Spotify and featured a live orchestra. Friends, family and top listeners on the platform attended. This marked Asake’s first live performance of 'MONEY' tracks since its May release. He also premiered four unreleased songs. The entire concert was filmed and will be released as a full concert film on the streaming service in the coming days. Since its debut, 'MONEY' has topped streaming charts in over 19 countries, including Nigeria, and reached number eight on US music charts. Kworb Data now ranks Asake as one of the top 15 digital artists globally. Born Ahmed Ololade, Asake blends fújì, Afropop and amapiano with Yoruba-inspired storytelling. His debut album set national streaming records, and his recent world tour sold out arenas like Madison Square Garden and The O2. He’s also earned two Grammy nominations for Best African Music Performance.

It's interesting that only friends, family, and top listeners attended this exclusive concert, leaving many loyal fans outside the Theatre Royal doors.

Fair point, but perhaps the invite-only vibe boosted Asake's buzz more than a packed crowd would.

I get the hype around Asake's Drury Lane show, but calling it truly groundbreaking feels a bit exaggerated compared to other live album performances.

Engaging consistently with Asake's playlists on Spotify could boost your listening rank and improve chances for invites to future exclusive shows.
