Troops Recover Body of Missing Farmer in Plateau, Continue Search for Second Man
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have recovered the body of Steven Bala, one of two Mwaghavul men reported missing after they went to their farms in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State. The body was found at his farm in Lamor during a joint search operation launched by Sector 8 troops on the night of October 27, 2026. It was later handed over to his family. Security personnel are still searching for the second missing man, Danbaba Libet, around Pushit District. The incident follows tensions along the Lamor–Gohotkung road after the reported killing of a herder.
