Two Seven-Year-Old Boys Die After Live Cable Falls on Shop in Ondo

Two seven-year-old boys, Oloyede Ayo and Clinton Koleola, reportedly died after a live electricity cable fell on a shop along Apefon Road in Idanre, Ondo State, on Saturday, September 26. An eyewitness said the boys were inside the shop when the cable came down. They reportedly came in contact with the wire while trying to escape. Ondo Police spokesperson DSP Abayomi Jimoh confirmed the incident. He said preliminary findings showed that a live cable fell on the building, and an investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
