1 / 2

On August 6, 2025, armed men stormed a family home in Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State at around 3:50 a.m. They were reportedly searching for Captain Olusola of the Nigerian Army. When the attackers could not find the officer, they fatally shot his son, Olusola Evans, aged 18. The youth had been living with relatives after security concerns forced the family to relocate. Captain Olusola led anti-bunkering operations in Warri, Delta State earlier this year. Local sources say he faced threats from militant groups linked to illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta. The Nigeria Police Force says investigations are ongoing and has vowed to identify and arrest those behind this tragic killing.
