Israeli Politician Feiglin Calls for All Palestinians, Including Newborns, to Leave Gaza
Israeli politician Moshe Feiglin has called for Gaza’s entire Palestinian population to leave the territory, including newborn babies. He argued that Gaza residents share collective responsibility for the October 7 attack and said the area should return to Jewish control. In an interview with an Israeli news programme, Feiglin rejected the distinction between Hamas and Gaza’s civilian population. He compared Gaza to Germany and Japan during the Second World War and said removing the population was necessary to prevent future violence. The interviewers challenged his claims, noting that Hamas won about 44% of votes in the 2006 Palestinian legislative election and that international organisations estimate Gaza’s population at more than two million. They also warned that the policy he proposed could carry serious international legal consequences.
