2027: Kuje Council Chairman Says Residents Must Support APC or Leave

Kuje Area Council Chairman Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo has drawn criticism after saying residents who do not support the All Progressives Congress should leave the council. In a video circulating online, Shekwolo said he would not allow anyone in Kuje to work against the APC or President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid. He cited development projects by Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as reasons residents should back the ruling party. He said he would use his office to resist opposition to the APC, declaring that residents must either be with the party or against it.
