Police Arrest Ilhan Omar’s Son’s Roommate After Firearm Is Found in Minneapolis
Minneapolis police reportedly searched an apartment linked to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s son, Adnan, after a firearm was found during the impoundment of a vehicle driven by his roommate, Abdulrahman Abdi. Police said Abdi was initially stopped for driving without proof of insurance and a valid licence. Officers later found a firearm in the vehicle and arrested him at a Marquette Avenue address. He was booked on a weapons charge and released the following night. Reports say guns and ammunition were recovered during the search of the apartment. Abdi has several previous driving-related convictions, including a felony conviction for fleeing an officer in a vehicle.
