Adeyemi Alleges Femi Gbajabiamila Demanded ₦12.5bn from ‘Ghost Agency’

A video of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew has resurfaced, fuelling controversy over the alleged ₦1.3bn “ghost agency.” Adeyemi claims to lead the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council and challenges the Presidency’s denial. He questions how a council described as non-existent appeared in the 2026 budget. He also says the agency holds several accounts at the Central Bank of Nigeria, including domiciliary and TSA accounts. Adeyemi further alleges that the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, led by Femi Gbajabiamila, demanded 48% of the council’s proposed ₦27.4bn grant—about ₦12.5bn. The Presidency insists no such agency exists and accuses Adeyemi of forging documents. Adeyemi faces an eight-count charge for forgery and impersonation at the Federal High Court in Abuja. The court will decide whether he is an impostor or a legitimate official.

What evidence supports Adeyemi's claim that Gbajabiamila demanded ₦12.5bn from a ghost agency?

You're correct, we need to see credible records or testimonies that link Gbajabiamila directly to this ₦12.5bn demand.

The discrepancy between the alleged ₦1.3bn council expenses and the ₦12.5bn demand deserves closer scrutiny.

I think it's too early to accept this narrative without forensic audit of that supposed council's operations.

The presidency and Adeyemi should submit all financial records publicly, so citizens can verify claims themselves.
