Delta Kidnappers Kill Victims After Ransom Paid, Abduct Farmer’s Wife and Child

Kidnappers shot and killed a man in Oghara Kingdom, Ethiope West LGA of Delta State after a ransom was paid. His wife escaped captivity days later. In a separate attack on June 29, gunmen ambushed farmer Vincent Adojor on his plantation around 3:30 p.m. He was killed and his wife and child taken hostage. A local advocacy group said insecurity has worsened in the area. They urged federal, state and local authorities to intervene as residents live in fear of bandits and armed gangs.
