Kwara Court Sentences Prophet Olayinka to Life for Raping Church Minors
Kwara State High Court in Ilorin has sentenced Prophet Ajiboye Abayomi Olayinka to life imprisonment for raping three 13-year-old members of his congregation. He received three separate life terms for unlawful sexual intercourse with minors. The court also imposed 14 years for illegal abortion after finding that he forced his victims to terminate pregnancies and threatened them with death if they spoke out. Witnesses recounted how he used anointing oil as a ritual before assaulting them in secluded church areas. Delivering judgment, Justice Hammed Aliyu Gegele described the defendant as a pedophile and upheld convictions for rape, unlawful sex with minors, and illegal abortion. A pump-action gun seized from him was ordered forfeited to the federal government.
