11 Bodies Recovered After Suspected Boko Haram Attack on Adamawa Village
Suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked Zaranga village in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State early Monday, killing residents, burning homes and forcing others to flee into nearby forests. A resident said 11 bodies had been recovered, while several people remained missing. Search teams and security personnel were reportedly combing the surrounding forests for villagers who fled during the gunfire. One resident said his wife and two other family members were killed in the attack. The death toll could rise as the search continues. The Adamawa State Police Command had not officially confirmed the attack or the reported casualties at the time of filing.
