Troops Raid Suspected Bandit Hideout in Taraba, Arrest Five

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke have raided a suspected bandit hideout in Peva, Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State, arresting five people believed to be associates of fleeing suspects. The operation followed intelligence received early Thursday. Troops from Sectors 1 and 3 reportedly searched the area after suspects fled, allegedly alerted by informants. Security operatives recovered two AK-47 magazines, 46 rounds of ammunition, a camouflage jacket, a jungle hat, charm vests and other charms. The task force said the items could provide leads to other members of the criminal gang and urged residents to share credible information with security agencies.
