UNICROSS Student Arrested After Viral Video Shows Gunshots Fired From Moving Vehicle
Police in Cross River have arrested a 24-year-old student of the University of Cross River, UNICROSS, after a viral video allegedly showed suspected cult members firing shots from a moving vehicle in Calabar. Police said the incident happened in the early hours of September 17. An intelligence-led operation reportedly traced the vehicle in the footage and led officers to the driver and a key suspect, who was arrested at a hotel in Calabar. The suspect allegedly identified himself as a leader of the Vikings Confraternity and admitted firing the shots during a sign-out celebration. Police said they are still investigating the firearm, the vehicle and other people who may have been involved.
