London Hospital Doctor Stabbed While Treating Patient During Night Shift

A doctor in his 50s was attacked at Hillingdon Hospital in west London on May 26. He was stabbed several times at around 2:40 am while treating a patient. Police officers who were already at the hospital for another job responded immediately and arrested a 27-year-old man from Uxbridge on suspicion of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm. The injured doctor was transferred to a nearby hospital. Trust officials say his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing and that all services at Hillingdon remain open as usual. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the suspect will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court today.
