FOSAD Urges Thorough Probe of Alleged Child Exploitation Case in Anambra
The Forum of South-East Academic Doctors has called for a thorough, transparent investigation into allegations that a seven-year-old girl was sexually exploited in Onitsha, Anambra State. The group said reports indicate that a woman has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command and that the children involved have been placed in protective custody. It urged authorities to protect the child’s identity and provide medical care, counselling and a safe environment. FOSAD also called for investigators to examine any digital platforms, financial transactions and possible accomplices connected to the alleged offence. It said any decision on prosecution or legal concessions must follow Nigerian law and due process.
