Ibadan Man Arraigned for Allegedly Attacking Ex-Girlfriend After Breakup

A 29-year-old man, Yusuf Ajisafe, has been arraigned before a Mapo Grade A Customary Court in Ibadan over allegations that he assaulted his former girlfriend after she ended their relationship. The prosecution alleged that Ajisafe injured Titiloye Balogun with a sharp object and damaged goods worth about ₦300,000 at her shop in the Idiaro area on October 15. He was also charged with escaping from lawful custody before being rearrested. Ajisafe pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted ₦200,000 bail with two sureties. The case was adjourned until December 10 for trial.
