Oluwo of Iwo Invites ‘Online Police’ VDM for National Dialogue, Sparking Mixed Reactions
VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, will visit Iwo on July 15 after receiving an official invitation from Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, the Oluwo of Iwoland. The influencer and the monarch recently held a two-hour video call on national cohesion, security and governance, which led to a face-to-face meeting in Osun State. This marks VDM’s first trip to Iwo, and he says he is eager to meet the community. His Majesty praised VDM’s fight against corruption through the Ratel Movement and said the discussion will focus on unity, integration and accountability in government. Online reactions have been divided. Some Nigerians view the invitation as a well-deserved honour for VDM’s activism, while others question the purpose of the visit.
