Peter Obi Alleges Benue Officials Blocked His Visit to Killings-Hit Community

Peter Obi has criticised the alleged blocking of an access road during his planned visit to a Benue community where he said more than 200 people had been killed. He said the visit was not secret and condemned the use of youths to stop him from reaching the area. Obi alleged that the youths were being led by an aide to the state governor. He urged Nigerians to reject political violence, adding that hunger, poverty and insecurity make young people vulnerable to manipulation.
