Houthis Strike Saudi Cities as U.S. Hits Iranian Tankers
Iran-backed Houthi forces said they launched drones and missiles at Saudi targets in Khamis Mushait, Abha, Najran and Jazan. Saudi authorities said the attacks set facilities ablaze and injured 73 people, including women and children. The Houthis said a Saudi airbase and assets linked to the state oil company were among the targets. The reported scale of the injuries suggests one of the group’s largest attacks on Saudi territory in recent months. Separately, U.S. forces reportedly struck Iranian tankers linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps after an alleged attempt to target a U.S. Navy warship. Iranian state media reported attacks near Kharg Island and Jask, while the IRGC threatened to target tankers in Kuwaiti and Bahraini ports.
