After Jilli Airstrike, Governor Zulum Warns Against Aiding Boko Haram

Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has cautioned residents against aiding, harboring or supplying Boko Haram insurgents. His warning follows the recent airstrike by Operation Hadin Kai’s Air Component on the Jilli market border community on April 11, 2026. The governor noted that Jilli and Gazabure markets were closed five years ago due to insurgent activity. He said he is in close consultation with Yobe State authorities and the military before any resettlement or market reopening.
