Trump Says Russia Will Supply Diesel to US and Global Markets
Donald Trump says he has reached an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin for Russia to supply more than 300,000 tonnes of diesel fuel immediately to the American and global markets. He said a further 500,000 tonnes would be delivered in November, followed by 1 million tonnes and up to 3 million tonnes more within a short period, depending on the condition of Russian refineries. Trump said the planned supplies, alongside US control of the Strait of Hormuz, would drive diesel prices down quickly. He also repeated his position that Iran must not obtain a nuclear weapon.
