Bauchi Woman Arrested Over Co-Wife’s Death After Alleged Dream-Related Fears

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old woman, Hauwau Haruna, over the death of her co-wife, Jamila Adamu. Haruna reportedly told police that she had repeatedly dreamed that the deceased wanted to harm her and her children. She alleged that, on the day of the incident, she believed her co-wife appeared outside her room after a disturbing dream. She said she struck the woman with a pestle and later fled with her newborn twins. Haruna added that she planned to report herself to the police after leaving her children with her mother, but was afraid of being attacked by a mob. Police are investigating the case. Her husband had reportedly dismissed her earlier concerns about the dreams.
