Soludo Faults South-East Exclusion From Nigeria’s Gas Master Plan
Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has criticised the exclusion of Anambra and the wider South-East from Nigeria’s gas master plan, despite the region’s gas reserves. Speaking through Information Commissioner Law Mefor at an NCDMB media workshop in Awka, Soludo said Anambra has yet to benefit adequately from its oil and gas resources. He urged the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board to help address the state’s unresolved oil-producing status and access to gas. The governor said direct access to gas is essential if Anambra is to achieve meaningful industrialisation and development.
