Reps Committee Commends SEDC as Enugu Headquarters Nears Completion
The House of Representatives Committee on the South-East Development Commission has commended the agency’s management after an oversight visit to its headquarters in Enugu. Committee chairman Chris Nkwonta said lawmakers were impressed by the facilities and preparations for the commission’s full operations. He also praised the Enugu State Government for providing the building rent-free, saying the move would reduce operational costs. SEDC management said renovation work is expected to be completed within two weeks. Staff are projected to begin working from the headquarters by the end of November or the second week of December. The commission said bringing its departments under one roof would improve planning, coordination and delivery of development programmes across the South-East.
