Four Gunmen Kidnap Two and Injure One in Kobape, Ogun State
On Thursday evening around 7 p.m., four armed men stormed Kobape community in Obafemi Owode LGA of Ogun State. They abducted two residents, Kelvin Ayobami Moyegun and Kehinde Rufai, and shot Al-haqq Shobakin, who is now receiving treatment at a private hospital in Abeokuta. A witness explained that Shobakin came out to open the gate when the kidnappers appeared. One resident managed to escape in a vehicle under gunfire, but the gunmen caught Shobakin, shot him, and then seized Kelvin and Kehinde. Security agencies, including the police, Amotekun Corps, and the NSCDC, have been notified. Ogun State Police Command confirmed the abduction and said operatives are deployed to rescue the victims and arrest the perpetrators. This follows a recent operation where the state police secured the release of a kidnapped prince and neutralized two suspects.
