TY Danjuma Urges Nigerians to Re-elect Tinubu, Says One Term Won’t Finish Projects
Former Defence Minister General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma has urged Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027, saying one term may not be enough to complete the administration’s ongoing projects. He made the remarks at the 20th anniversary and fundraising ceremony for the Adamawa State Government House chapel in Yola. Represented by former Chief of Army Staff General Ishaya Bamaiyi, Danjuma also praised Tinubu’s appointments and pledged ₦250 million towards expanding the chapel. First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, represented by Adamawa Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, urged young people not to be used as tools of political violence. She encouraged peaceful and responsible conduct before, during and after the 2027 elections. Former Governor Boni Haruna recalled that the chapel was established in 2005 as part of a Government House design that included places of worship for Christians and Muslims. Speakers at the event described it as a symbol of religious inclusion and peaceful coexistence.
