Group Urges Nentawe Yilwatda to Condemn Alleged Political Intimidation
A civic group has urged Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda to caution state party chairmen over statements it says could threaten Nigerians’ freedom of movement and political participation. The group criticised suggestions that political figures should seek permission before visiting a state, arguing that no citizen should face intimidation or security threats for lawful political activity. It called on security agencies to address alleged threats against Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar and other political actors. It also urged all parties to settle political differences through peaceful campaigns, dialogue and the ballot box.
