PM NEWS Debunks Fabricated 2006 Front Page Linked to Peter Obi
PM NEWS has denied publishing a 2006 front-page story claiming that Peter Obi was “cured of madness.” The newspaper said the image now circulating on social media is fabricated. According to the publication, an original front page was digitally altered. The photo of the person in the actual story and the name in the headline were replaced with Peter Obi’s image and name. PM NEWS urged the public, journalists and media organisations not to share or present the altered image as an authentic edition of the newspaper. It said its masthead, date and page design were used to make the fabrication appear genuine.
