Peter Obi Declares Tinubu ‘Tired’ and Urges Him to Step Aside in 2027

During a recent interview, Peter Obi said President Bola Tinubu is ‘tired’ and should hand over power after the 2027 election. Obi explained that his focus is on restoring effective governance, not on personal ambition. He criticised the current administration for a sharp rise in poverty, pointing out that the number of Nigerians living in poverty grew from 87 million to 140 million under Tinubu. Obi also warned that insecurity has worsened and recalled how former business owners now resort to selling kuli-kuli. Obi insisted he isn’t desperate to become president, likening a second term for Tinubu to repeating a failed school year. “You can’t renew failure,” he said.
