2027: Rhodes-Vivour Backs Atiku as ADC Presidential Candidate, Not Obi

Lagos ADC governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour says Atiku Abubakar is his preferred presidential candidate for the 2027 election because he now belongs to the African Democratic Congress. Speaking in a BBC interview, Rhodes-Vivour said he has no personal dispute with Peter Obi, whom he supported in the 2023 election. He said party affiliation now guides his position ahead of 2027. He also rejected claims that Lagos is a “no man’s land”, describing the phrase as disrespectful to indigenous Lagos families. He maintained that Nigerians are free to support any candidate they believe can move the country forward.
