David Umahi’s 28-Year-Old Son Elected Ohaozara LG Chairman, Pledges to Forgo Salary
Osborn Nweze Umahi, son of the Minister of Works and former Ebonyi State governor David Umahi, has been elected chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. The 28-year-old said he would not collect salary or allowances throughout his tenure. He said the decision would allow him to prioritise the development of the council area. Umahi pledged to pursue policies that support economic activity, infrastructure and residents’ welfare. His administration will be closely watched as it begins implementing these promises.
