APC national youth leader Dayo Israel shared a video of about seven new Toyota Prado SUVs reportedly donated to selected youth leaders for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections. First Lady Oluremi Tinubu later confirmed donating the vehicles to the party’s youth wing. Based on listed prices from Toyota’s Nigerian distributor, seven Prado SUVs could cost roughly ₦1.12 billion to ₦1.33 billion. That amount could alternatively renovate and equip about seven to 14 primary health centres, pay nearly 1,200 basic education teachers for a year, or build about 34 to 40 classrooms. Using recent government procurement figures, the same sum could also fund about 2.7 kilometres of road work, buy seven to nine ambulances, provide 21 to 25 patrol vehicles, or feed thousands of pupils through a school year. The donation has renewed debate about campaign spending and the public services Nigerians need most.
