Three Okada Union Members, Including Chairman, Abducted on Kogi’s Ageva–Magongo Road
Three members of a commercial motorcycle riders union were kidnapped by suspected bandits along the Ageva–Magongo road in Kogi State on Wednesday, May 6. The victims include Jonathan Stephen Monday, chairman of the Ogori branch, and two riders, Ashemadaun Eben and Mosigbodi Jethro Adoga. They were part of a delegation returning from a solidarity rally ahead of the 2027 elections when heavily armed attackers ambushed their vehicle. The incident has heightened fears among residents and commercial motorcyclists in the area. Many are urging security agencies and the state government to step up patrols and secure the route until the abducted men are safely released.
