Tinubu Admits Early 'Stubbornness', Says LGs Now Get Direct Allocations
President Bola Tinubu said he was a little stubborn at the start of his administration. He spoke during an interfaith breaking of fast with senior journalists and media executives at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He noted that he reads newspapers every morning. He called it an addiction and said headlines often shape his attention. Tinubu added that his government is opening up true federalism. He said local governments now receive direct allocations from the Federal Government. He urged the media to also hold local councils accountable, not only the presidency.
