Plateau Farmer Hospitalised Following Suspected Herders’ Attack

Military sources say a farmer in Jwakp Maitumbi village, Mangu LGA, was attacked by suspected herders on the evening of July 11, 2026. Troops from Sector 8, Operation Enduring Peace, found the victim with multiple machete wounds and evacuated him straight to General Hospital, Mangu. He is now receiving treatment for his injuries. Security forces have launched an investigation and are working to identify and arrest those responsible for the assault.
