What would Nigeria look like if every stakeholder followed the electoral rules during the 2027 general elections? INEC would act impartially, security agencies would remain neutral, and political parties would conduct credible primaries without imposition, vote buying or intimidation. Candidates and supporters would also reject violence, bribery and attempts to exploit gaps in the process. A broadly accepted result could give the next government stronger legitimacy, reduce political tension and create better conditions for policy implementation and development.
