Five Charged in Kano Over Alleged Destruction of Tinubu, Yusuf Posters

Kano police say five people have been arrested and charged to court over the alleged destruction of posters and billboards belonging to President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and other politicians. Police Commissioner Ibrahim Adamu Bakori said the arrests followed investigations into incidents linked to tensions over public horse-riding and processions in Kano. The alleged vandalism was reported after Emir Aminu Ado Bayero’s public outing on Sunday. Police said they would take legal action against anyone whose actions threaten public peace as the Kano Emirate dispute continues.
